'Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The code was deployed on staging with care,
in hopes that the release soon would be there.

The users were nestled all snug in their beds,
while visions of new features danced in their heads.
Our customers are waiting to give a big clap,
When we deliver the release and our roadmap.

When out of the tests there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
tore open the shutter and cleared the cache.

The moon on the crest of the new-fallen snow
gave the lustre of midday to objects below,
when, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
but the new customized checklist was finally here.

With a CEO full of wit and vim,
I knew in a moment it must be Tim.
More rapid than eagles, our teams they came,
and we whistled and shouted and called them by name:

"Now Legal Content and Marketing! Now, CS and TechOps!
On, Shield! On, Data Science! On Sales and DevOps!
Deploy to customers! Release to them all!
Now deploy, deploy, deploy away all!"

The teams spoke not a word, but went straight to their work,
and merged all the branches, then turned with a jerk.
Tackling releases like only ThoughtRiver knows;
Then giving a nod, the release number rose.

The rollout began, and the team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard them exclaim, 'ere they drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
